Ghaya – Terms of Service
Version 1.0.0
Last updated: 25 October 2026
Welcome to Ghaya (غاية) ("Ghaya", "we", "our" or "us"), operated by Anytech General Trading LLC ("Anytech"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Ghaya mobile app, the website at https://getghaya.com including the families' library, and related services such as Connect your AI (together, the "Service").
By accessing or using Ghaya, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are a parent, you also accept these Terms for the children you add to your family. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. About Ghaya
Ghaya is a family motivation app. Children and grown-ups agree goals together, children complete tasks, a parent or helper checks them, and approved work earns points that children can spend on rewards the family sets. Ghaya includes chat on tasks and goals, badges, birthdays, a library of task and goal ideas, and a public website where parents can share tasks and goals with other families.
Ghaya is a tool to help families. It does not replace a parent's judgement or supervision.
2. Eligibility
- Parents must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
- Helpers must be at least 18, except an older brother or sister of the children, who may be invited as a helper from age 13. A parent who invites a helper under 18 confirms they are responsible for that helper's use of the Service and accepts these Terms on their behalf. Helpers under 18 can't publish, connect an AI or make purchases.
- Only a parent or legal guardian may create a family or add a child. By adding a child, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and that you consent to the processing of the child's data as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Children use Ghaya only as part of a family, under a parent's account and supervision. Children do not enter into these Terms themselves; their parent accepts them on their behalf and is responsible for their use of the Service.
- Teenagers from 13 may sign in with their own Apple or Google account, with a parent's permission. Their profile remains part of the family and under the parents' control.
3. Accounts and family roles
3.1 Signing in
Grown-ups sign in with Apple or Google. Children's devices are linked to their profile with a code from a parent and a PIN the child chooses. You agree to:
- give accurate information, including children's birthdays;
- keep your Apple or Google account and your devices secure;
- share invite and device codes only with the people they are meant for;
- tell us promptly if you think someone has used your account without permission.
The PIN on a child's device stops brothers and sisters opening each other's profiles. It is not a security measure for the account.
You are responsible for activity under your account, and parents are responsible for activity under their children's profiles.
3.2 The account holder
The parent who creates a family is the account holder, until they hand the role to the other parent. Only the account holder can change the plan, rename the family, or change or remove the other parent. If the account holder leaves, the other parent becomes the account holder.
3.3 Parents
A family can have up to two parents. Parents control the family: children's profiles and settings, rewards and prices, invites, linked devices, pocket money and cash-outs, publishing, and Connect your AI.
3.4 Helpers
Parents can invite helpers, such as a nanny, grandparent or older sibling (Ghaya Plus). Helpers act for the family and see only the children the parents choose. Helpers can set up tasks and goals, check work, give shout-outs, hand over rewards and chat. They cannot change rewards and prices, children's settings, the family or the plan, or invite anyone.
Parents are responsible for choosing whom they invite and what those helpers can see. Anytech does not vet, employ or supervise helpers and is not responsible for their conduct.
3.5 Leaving and deleting
Anyone can delete their account in Settings. A second parent or helper who deletes their account leaves the family, and their name in the family's history becomes "Former parent" or "Former helper". If the only parent deletes their account, the family and everything in it is deleted.
4. Plans, subscriptions and payments
4.1 Free and Ghaya Plus
Ghaya offers a Free plan and a paid plan, Ghaya Plus. The current features and limits of each plan are shown in the app. For example, today the Free plan includes one child, and Ghaya Plus adds more children, helpers, photos, replies from our team, and more saved tasks, goals and packs. We may change plan features, giving notice where the change reduces what you pay for.
One subscription covers the whole family: every parent, helper and child gets Ghaya Plus.
Downgrading never deletes anything. If a family moves from Plus to Free, it keeps every child, helper, photo and saved item. The Free limits only stop adding more.
4.2 Subscriptions through Apple
Ghaya Plus is sold as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple's App Store, monthly or yearly, at the price shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the same price and for the same length, unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Plus stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
- Deleting your Ghaya account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Please cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
Apple handles payments, billing and refunds under Apple's terms. Fees are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or granted by Apple.
Apple's Family Sharing is not used for Ghaya Plus. The subscription belongs to your Ghaya family, not to the Apple family of the person who paid.
4.3 Price changes
We may change the price of Ghaya Plus from time to time. If we do:
- we will tell you in the app at least 30 days before the change takes effect, and Apple will also notify you as its rules require;
- the new price applies from your next renewal; your current period is not affected;
- if Apple's rules require it, a price increase applies only if you agree to it, and if you do not, your subscription ends at the end of the current period;
- if you do not wish to continue at the new price, you can cancel in your Apple Account settings before your next renewal.
5. Your content and the families' library
5.1 Ownership
You keep ownership of what you create in Ghaya, including tasks, goals, rewards, notes, chat messages, voice notes and photos ("Your Content"). Anytech does not claim ownership of Your Content.
5.2 Licence to run the Service
You grant Anytech a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, copy, display and transmit Your Content only as needed to provide the Service to you and the people in your family whom you share it with, according to the settings you choose. This licence ends when Your Content is deleted, except for published items and copies described below, and limited backups and records described in the Privacy Policy.
5.3 Photos and voice notes
If you add a photo or voice note, you confirm that you have the right to do so and that the people in it are happy for it to be shared in your family. Photos and voice notes are private to your family and are never published.
5.4 Publishing to the families' library
Only parents can publish, and only their own saved tasks and goals. Publishing is always your choice. When you publish:
- a frozen copy of the words and settings is shown on Ghaya's public website, under your screen name or your first name and last initial, as you choose. Photos, due times and children's names are never included;
- the page may be indexed by search engines and shared by link;
- it passes automatic checks and an AI check, and may be reviewed by our team before it goes live or afterwards;
- you grant Anytech a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt for display (for example, converting points to Ghaya's scale or showing it in a link preview), and promote the published item within the Service and on Ghaya's websites and social channels, for as long as it is published;
- you grant other Ghaya users a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to view, save, copy, adapt and add the item for their own family's use within Ghaya. Copies a family made while the item was published stay with that family after you unpublish it. Other users may not republish your item as their own, or reproduce or sell it outside Ghaya;
- you confirm the item is your own or that you have the right to share it, and that it contains no one's personal information.
You can unpublish at any time. Deleting the original, leaving your family or being removed from it also takes your published items down.
5.5 Screen names
Screen names must be your own invention: not a child's name, not someone else's name, not offensive, and not a name that suggests you are Ghaya or its team. We may reset a screen name that breaks these rules.
5.6 Faith and values content
Ghaya's own library has no religious content. Families may write and publish their own tasks and goals about faith and values. These are written by families, not by Ghaya, and do not represent the views of Anytech. They are checked like any other item. Please be respectful of every tradition.
5.7 Reports, review and take-downs
Anyone signed in can report a published item, and any grown-up can hide an author from their own view. We may review, decline, remove or take down any published item, at our discretion, including after a report, with a note to the author. We are not obliged to monitor content, but we do so to keep the library safe for families.
6. Acceptable use and child safety
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully or to harm, exploit, bully or endanger a child;
- set tasks that are unsafe for the child's age, or that should be supervised without arranging supervision (some ideas carry a supervision note; please follow it);
- use Ghaya to punish, shame or pressure a child;
- add a child who is not yours to look after, or add personal information about people outside your family;
- upload or send content that is sexual, violent, hateful, discriminatory, harassing or otherwise harmful, or that infringes someone's rights;
- publish personal information, contact details, links or advertising in the library;
- impersonate anyone, including Ghaya or its team;
- fake likes, views or reports, or try to guess or misuse invite and device codes;
- access another family's data, reverse-engineer, scrape or disrupt the Service, or bypass plan limits;
- use the Service on behalf of a business or school without our written agreement.
We may report content that harms or endangers children to the competent authorities, as the law requires. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these rules.
7. Points, rewards, pocket money and cash-outs
- Points have no cash value and cannot be bought, sold or exchanged with Anytech. Points and rewards are set by each family, and the family decides what they are worth.
- Ghaya is not a bank, a payment service or a stored-value facility. Ghaya never holds, receives or transfers money. Showing points as money, pocket money and cash-outs are records that help a family keep track. Any money paid to a child is paid by the family, outside Ghaya.
- Rewards are promises between family members. Anytech does not supply, guarantee or deliver any reward.
8. AI features
- The AI check of published items helps us keep the library safe. It can be wrong in both directions; our team reviews what it flags.
- Connect your AI (optional, Ghaya Plus, parents only) lets a parent use their own AI assistant (for example Claude or ChatGPT) with Ghaya. The AI acts as that parent, under the app's rules, and can do only what the consent page lists. You are responsible for what your AI does in your family, as if you had done it. Your use of the AI provider is governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy, and family information you discuss is sent to that provider. Anytech is not responsible for third-party AI services.
- Replies from our team may be drafted by an AI assistant and are labelled as such.
- AI outputs and task ideas are suggestions only and may be incomplete or wrong. You remain responsible for deciding what is right for your children.
9. Third-party services
Ghaya relies on third-party services, including Apple (sign-in, payments, notifications), Google (sign-in) and, if you choose, your own AI assistant. Their terms govern your use of them. Anytech is not responsible for their availability, content or practices.
10. Intellectual property
10.1 Ghaya platform copyright
All content, design, code, illustrations, graphics, user interface elements and software comprising the Ghaya platform, including Ghaya's own task and goal library, built-in pictures, badges and the Pip mascot, are the exclusive intellectual property of Anytech and are protected under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 38 of 2021 on Copyrights and Related Rights, as well as applicable international intellectual property treaties.
10.2 Trademark
The Ghaya name (in English and Arabic, غاية), the Ghaya logo and the Pip character are trademarks of Anytech, protected under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 36 of 2021 on Trademarks. Unauthorised use of these marks, or any confusingly similar mark, is prohibited.
10.3 Restrictions
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display or commercially exploit any part of the Ghaya platform or its content without Anytech's prior written consent, except as these Terms allow (for example, adding library items to your family).
10.4 Copyright claims
If you believe content on Ghaya infringes your rights, please email support@getghaya.com with details of the content, where it appears, and your claim. We will review it and may remove the content.
11. Availability and changes
Ghaya is provided on an "as available" basis. We may add, change or remove features, and we may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using Ghaya at any time and delete your account in Settings.
We may suspend or end access to the Service, or to a family, if:
- you break these Terms;
- the law requires it;
- it is necessary to protect children, users or the Service.
Where reasonable, we will tell you first and let you download your data.
13. Disclaimers
Ghaya is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about the accuracy of task ideas, suggested points or ages, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Ghaya does not supervise children. Parents remain responsible for their children's safety, wellbeing and use of devices, and for deciding which tasks are suitable.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Anytech is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill;
- Anytech's total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for Ghaya Plus in the 12 months before the claim, or AED 100 if that is more;
- nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer under UAE Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Anytech harmless from claims arising out of:
- Your Content, including photos, voice notes and published items;
- your use of the Service, or your children's or helpers' use of it under your family;
- your breach of these Terms or of anyone's rights.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai. If you are a consumer living in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, nothing in this section takes away the protections the law where you live gives you.
